With many musical compositions to his credit, Emmanuel Quartey aka Sir Boi and Naa Borkor Quartey founded the JayNii Band to support vulnerable children in deprived communities of Ghana www.jaynii.com since music and dance is all they have to offer to raise funds to put these poor children off the streets and into the classroom.

Using simple African instruments, JayNii entertains it’s audience with irresistible rhythms and incredible dance moves that bring out the wow factor and lasting memories. The troupe brings the traditional sounds, songs and spirit of Africa to events worldwide in a spectacular and unforgettable performances like never before. Featuring traditional rhythms, drumming, chants and singing accompanied by energetic routine dances fill audiences with joy, energy and get the whole atmosphere electrified in the fun and celebrating mood.

Our rhythms are accessible dance grooves ideal for all to dance with. Audience participation in our drumming, singing and dance has always been fun.

 

Having appeared on most of the national televisions, JayNii runs workshops and performed both locally alongside great artistes from the African continent like Salif Keita, Rita Marley, Fumi Kuti and internationally in the U.K, Sweden, France, and have won awards.

  • Jaynii performed for the massive audience from all over the world alongside Rita Marley, 2-face Idibia, Smile Africa(U.K.) Nu Black Art West Theatre, U.S based solo drummer Okyerema Asante, Ras Kobi, Makeda Thomas dance Project, Bahamas National Children's Choir and many more. 

  • Jaynii performed at the British Council in Accra for Tecky Kids International school (British Institution), 

  • On national televisions like GTV and TV3 which covered the group with American Gospel Superstar, Kirk Franklin of "storm" fame at the International Conference Centre, Accra. 

  • The Homowo festivals organized by Vibe Fm Radio. 

  • The group made the opening ceremony for the West African conference (WACIPAC) led by Keiku Uchiumi, a Japanese Information & Communication Expert in Ghana. 

  • Jaynii has trained people who now perform professionally at national and international events.

  • Till date, the group still run lessons/workshops for schools, local and international students.
